The open door · no sign-up — just come

First Friday.

Our main monthly meetup — coffee, the first Friday of every month. It's not a place to sell or transact. It's a place to connect, make friends and dream big.

What actually happens

It's exactly what it sounds like.

Coffee, first

You order a coffee like anyone else in the café. There's no room booked, no name badges, no agenda on the table — just a cluster of founders who got there before you.

An honest hour

Conversation about the build as it actually is — the win, the worry, the decision you've been circling for a fortnight. People ask how you are and mean it.

Dots get joined

Someone usually knows someone. An intro here, a grant somebody spotted there, a founder two streets over wrestling the same problem. It's how the whole community started.

Who it's for

Any founder or maker. That's it.

Starting something, building something, risking your own time and money on an idea — you're who this is for. The table holds people at every stage of the journey, from pre-startup to multiple exits. First-timers turn up every month, usually alone, and leave with names and numbers.

There is no sign-up and no pitch. Walk in any time between 8:30–11am, find a friendly face and say you saw the website — that's the entire protocol.

Why it matters to us

Founders do better with friends.

Bristol Spring grew out of coffees exactly like this one — founders finding each other, one introduction at a time. The support and the help come out of authentic friendship, not the other way round: everything else we run, and everything we build, starts from the friendships made here.

Come once and you've seen the whole thing. Come twice and people will know your name.
