Founders and entrepreneurs are unusually open, generous people — it's one of the things we love most about this crowd. The Ask just makes helping each other easier: concrete asks from Bristol founders and charities — an intro, a beta tester, a lawyer for an hour — put in front of people glad to help.
Post or answer an ask
The board lives in the Town Square — members post their asks there, and answer each other's. Anyone building in Bristol can join.
One house rule: no offers or requests for investment through the board — for raising, use the routes on The Raise.
On the board now
“Founders to test-drive the Sunday Pulse digest and tell us, bluntly, what's missing.”
Also offering: Your fingerprints on a tool given to the whole city.
Examples of the shape — the board opens with yours
“An intro to anyone who's sold software into an NHS trust.”
Also offering: Happy to share our NHS procurement notes too.
“Five Bristol founders to try our onboarding flow and be brutally honest.”
Also offering: A lifetime account for every tester, on us.
“A lawyer for an hour to sanity-check a partnership agreement.”
Also offering: A genuinely grateful thank-you, and good karma.
“Occasional access to a bench and a 3D printer in central Bristol.”
Also offering: A fair hourly rate, or prototyping help gladly given.
“A part-time finance person who's done a first audit before.”
Also offering: Equity + day rate, fully remote-friendly.
“30 minutes with anyone who's run a crowdfunder over £50k.”
Also offering: We'll write up the lessons and share them with the whole community.
Keep it specific and keep it small — the askable kind. Tell us the one introduction, the one skill, the one bit of kit, and we'll put it in front of people who can help.
