Dedicated desks in Bristol.

A dedicated desk is your desk: the same spot every day, your monitor left where you put it, usually lockable storage and often longer access hours than a hot-desker gets. It is the step most entrepreneurs take when the kitchen table stops working but a private office is still a year away. 12 spaces in Bristol publish one. Each price below is that operator's own rate-card line for a dedicated desk, in their words — not the cheapest monthly tier on their site, which is usually part-time hot-desking and a good deal less. Read the line rather than the number: some rates buy unlimited access, some a fixed number of hours, and some are quoted plus VAT while others are not. Where a space lists dedicated desks but publishes no rate for one, the row says exactly that instead of guessing.

Each rate is the operator's own published figure, quoted the way they quote it — per day, per month, per desk or per room, plus VAT or not. Sorted on the figure shown, so read the cell rather than the order: a per-desk rate and a whole-room rate are not the same money. A guide, not a quote — confirm the current rate with the space before you budget on it. We surface options; we don't take a cut.

Common questions.

Answered from the rates in the table above, not from marketing copy.

How much does a dedicated desk cost in Bristol?
The lowest dedicated-desk rate here that any business can take is £200 + VAT a month at Hamilton House, and the published rates run up to £350 ex VAT a month at Square Works. CREATE Centre is priced lower still, but that workspace is restricted — the row says who it is for. Compare the lines, not the numbers: some of these rates buy unlimited access and some buy a set number of hours. Prices come from each operator's own published rates and are a guide, not a quote.
What's the difference between a hot desk and a dedicated desk?
A hot desk is any free spot on a shared floor, taken by the session or the day and cleared when you leave — cheapest and most flexible. A dedicated desk is reserved for you permanently: you leave your things, you usually get lockable storage, and access hours are often longer, with round-the-clock entry on some tiers. You pay a monthly rate rather than a day rate for it. If you are in three or more days a week, the monthly figure is usually the cheaper of the two.
Can I grow from a dedicated desk into an office in the same building?
In 10 of these 12 buildings, yes — Hamilton House, Gather Round, Raw Space and Clockwise among them — private offices or lockable studios sit alongside the dedicated desks, so a team can take more space without moving address. The rest publish no private room of any kind, which is worth knowing before you sign anything if you expect to be hiring within the year.
